POLAND, Maine (AP) — Maine State Troopers have seized five tractor-trailers over unpaid tolls.

Troopers said the Rhode Island-based company that owned the big rigs owed $75,000 to the Maine Turnpike Authority.

The truck company is facing felony theft-of-service charges over toll debt accrued over the past three years. A message left at Commodity Haulers Express of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, was not immediately returned.

The trucking company hauls Poland Spring water; the water company was not aware of the unpaid tolls.

State police stopped four of the trucks along Route 122 in Poland; the other one was stopped on the Maine Turnpike in York.
