Maine Police Captain Caught Driving Drunk Faces OUI Charge
BREWER, Maine (AP) - A police captain in Brewer is facing a drunken-driving charge.
Police say a summons was issued to Police Capt. Chris Martin on Saturday night for operating under the influence.
Public Safety Director Perry Antone tells The Associated Press that Martin is on administrative leave while the matter is investigated. He said the department takes the allegations seriously.
Martin has been with the force for 19 years. It was unclear if he's hired a lawyer.
