The recent major recall of this peanut butter brand spans across the country; however, Maine is listed as one of the states unaffected.

When there’s a recall, it’s important to carefully follow the instructions—whether that means returning the product, throwing it away, or contacting the company—because recalls are issued to protect your health and safety, and taking the right steps helps prevent potential harm to you and your family.

On February 12th, 2026, after initially issuing a recall in April of 2025, the Food and Drug Administration announced an update to an existing peanut butter recall.

The products were made by Ventura Foods and sold to distributors, mostly under private-label brands.

Some of the names listed in the recall include US Foods, DYMA Brands, Flavor Fresh, Sysco House Recipe, Katy’s Kitchen, and Gordon Food Service. The recall was issued after pieces of blue plastic were discovered in a filter at the manufacturing facility where the items were produced.

New England states included in the recall are New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
