
Popular Maine Music Venue Earns ACM Award Nomination
This venue, which has hosted a number of huge names throughout the years, was recently nominated for an ACM Award at this year’s ceremony.
As announced on Monday, April 13th, the Academy of Country Music (ACM) revealed the nominations for the 61st ACM Studio Recording Awards and Industry Awards, with winners set to be announced in the coming weeks and honored at the 19th ACM Honors event this August in Nashville, with additional details to be shared in the months ahead.

Along with the traditional award categories, it was recently announced that the State Theatre in Portland has been nominated for these ACM Industry and Studio Recording Awards.
The venue is one of five nominees for ‘Theater of the Year’ and said in a Facebook post that it is ‘honored to be nominated.’

The Maine music venue was the only theater from the Northeast nominated in this category, standing out among some of the most iconic venues in the country.
Other nominees include Tennessee’s Grand Ole Opry House, Ryman Auditorium, and The Franklin Theatre, along with Indiana’s Blue Gate Theatre.

And there you have it! The State Theatre in Portland was named one of the nominees in the ‘Theater of the Year’ category.
