This Is Maine’s Most Popular Beer in 2024
We certainly do love our beer here in the Pine Tree State, and according to a recent report, this is the most popular brew of 2024.
Here in Maine, we really love our beer, and that shouldn't surprise anyone. The winters are long and tough, making us ironically want to warm up with a cold one. When summer finally rolls around, the sunny days and cool nights call for a celebratory drink. And of course, we all know the best beer is a free beer, right?
But how do we determine which beer is the most popular in any state, let alone here in Maine?
Innerbody conducted a study on ‘The most popular beer in each state,’ by analyzing search data from Google Trends. They looked at the top 24 beers and used the geographic search tool to identify which beer was most popular in each state. The results aimed to provide insight into beer consumption trends across America.
This study reveals interesting trends in beer preferences across different regions of the U.S.
The key takeaways from this study reveal that, unsurprisingly, people from Wisconsin are big beer fans, particularly when it comes to Miller products. On the West Coast, Mexican beers are the top choice. The Midwest leads the country in overall beer consumption, with Corona being the most popular beer nationwide. Despite the variety, Bud Light remains America's favorite light beer. However, none of this applies to our neck of the woods in New England.
Alright, now that we’ve settled that, what is this year’s most popular beer in Maine?
According to the experts at Innerbody, in their study of 'The Most Popular Beer in Each State,' Maine’s most popular beer is a New England craft brew staple: Samuel Adams, the flagship brand of the Boston Beer Company.
Samuel Adams may be the most popular beer in Maine, but we’re not the only state championing this New England brew.
Alongside Maine, Samuel Adams is also the most popular beer in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, according to Innerbody's report. This is especially fitting, considering the beer is named after U.S. Founding Father Samuel Adams, who inherited his father's brewery in Boston and worked as a brewer.
What are your thoughts on Samuel Adams? What’s your favorite type of beer? We’d love to hear from you! Feel free to join the conversation by messaging us on the app.
