Maine Man Will Serve 2 Years for Fatal UTV Crash
A Lincoln, Maine man will serve two years in prison for causing an off-road vehicle crash in May of 2017 that killed a 19-year-old Millinocket woman.
Prosecutors said 22-year-old Parker Gardner was drunk and driving too fast when the 4-wheel side-by-side flipped over in Lowell.
Abigail Fiske was sitting in the back seat and was thrown from the UTV. She died at the scene. Fiske's father and step mother are both members of the Maine state Police.
Gardner was sentenced Thursday in Superior Court in Bangor to 5 years in prison with all but 2 years suspended. If he had been tried and convicted of manslaughter, he would have faced up to 30 years in prison.
