Maine Man Killed in Mobile Home Fire

KITTERY, Maine (AP) — Authorities say a man died early Saturday morning in a fire at a southern Maine mobile home.

Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland said the fire in Kittery appears to have started in the kitchen-living room area of the mobile home. The fire left the mobile home destroyed.

McCausland said neighbors reported the fire around 4 a.m. Saturday. Firefighters found the man's body in the bedroom.

Officials have not released the man's identity. The State Fire Marshal's office is investigating what caused the blaze.
