The two year old's mother and grandmother normally meet at the park and ride to exchange the boy - Graham tried to grab the two year old but was fought off by the grandmother, who managed to secure herself and the boy in a vehicle.

Graham drove off in pursuit of their vehicle and began following them south along the Interstate. The victim's mother and grandmother called the police and troopers caught up with Graham and took him into custody. Troopers found a loaded handgun in his vehicle, along with cable ties, knives and parachute cord.

Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman, Steve McCausland, said that Graham is being held in lieu of bail at the Two Bridges Jail in Wiscasset on charges of attempted kidnapping and assault.
