Luke Bryan Meets His Wax Figure [Watch]
Luke Bryan is the latest country artist to be featured at Madame Tussauds wax museum in New York City. During a recent trip to the Big Apple, the singer got an up-close view of himself in wax form and was amazed at the results.
"I never thought I'd be enshrined as a wax figure but it's pretty cool stuff," he tells the Associated Press in a video interview. "I remember when we got the call to do it I thought it would be pretty interesting. It's a pretty intense process when they get you all measured up. You actually send them your own clothes. It's pretty authentic stuff."
The 90-second video above captures the real-life singer viewing his wax persona for the first time. Dressed in a black v-neck T-shirt, blue jeans and a leather jacket, Bryan meets his replica, shown seated in blue jeans and a v-neck T-shirt while holding an acoustic guitar. The singer even snaps a selfie with his wax figure self to remember the moment.
40 Reasons to Love Luke Bryan
"Look at me! It's crazy. Well, I want to take me in a little longer!" he says as he's motioned to leave the exhibit. "Wow, they did a good job."
In awe at seeing a 360-degree view of himself, Bryan is mesmerized by witnessing himself up close in wax form.
"You never get to see yourself in that type of capacity," he marvels. "It's something you're certainly not used to."
Bryan's wax figure is currently on display at Madame Tussauds New York. The wax figure is set to be moved to the museum's new Nashville location in April.
