Well, having said all that, how do we know how much these NBA mascots are estimated to be paid, and who is looking into this?

The researchers used influencer marketing tools to estimate each mascot’s potential yearly earnings, factoring in followers, engagement rates, and estimated earnings per post.

With the average U.S. mascot making about $60,000 a year from their day job, this study helps reveal how much more they could make through social media alone.

Benny the Bull of the Chicago Bulls tops the list as the highest-earning NBA mascot on Instagram, pulling in an estimated $1,007,765 a year based on daily posts.

Meanwhile, according to the report commissioned by SeatPick, the Boston Celtics’ own Lucky the Leprechaun ranked eighth, with estimated annual Instagram earnings of $98,550.
