Kacey Musgraves brought her distinct brand of country music to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night (Oct. 2) with a multi-song performance on the outdoor stage. The singer kicked off a mini set with the dreamy "Love Is a Wild Thing," featured on her latest album, Golden Hour, then segued into "Wonder Woman."

Donning a butterfly emblazoned dress with slits up to her thigh, Musgraves' performance of "Love Is a Wild Thing" gave her ethereal vocals the spotlight. She sang the first verse alone, on acoustic guitar, before her band joined in.

Singing of the quest people often go through for love, Musgraves asserts that love, in fact, is a wild thing. "Even if you lose me, I will find you," she promises.

During her performance of the heartfelt ballad, bubbles surrounded the stage as the audience screamed along. Later, Musgraves returned with another track off her 2018 album called "Wonder Woman." Alongside light banjo and keyboard accompaniment, she sings of not needing to find her Superman.

“Don't you know I'm only human / And if I let you down I don't mean to / All I need’s a place to land, I don’t need a Superman to win my lovin’,” she notes.

Musgraves wrote the reflective song with Jesse Frasure, Hillary Lindsey and Amy Wadge. The singer has been performing both tracks while on the road throughout 2018 with Little Big Town and pop star Harry Styles. More recently, she shared the stage with Willie Nelson as part of his annual Farm Aid concert. Musgraves will return to the stage as headliner in 2019 as part of her Oh, What a World Tour.
