Kacey Musgraves and Katy Perry have a mutual admiration for each other and have collaborated in the past -- but their collaboration over the weekend was a little different than some of their past ones. On Sunday (June 11), Musgraves joined Perry during a livestream event in celebration of the release of Perry's Witness album and taught the pop star and guitarist David Francisco how to play her 2013 hit song "Follow Your Arrow."

Readers can press play above to watch a snippet of Musgraves, Perry and Francisco's quick music lesson. It was just one piece of a four-day stunt, dubbed Witness World Wide, by Perry to promote her new album: The singer lived in a house and broadcast her goings-on nearly 24/7 during that time. Musgraves was just one of a number of special guests Perry invited to join her during her time in the house; others included Caitlyn Jenner and Margaret Cho.

"Thanks for having me in the house tonight, @katyperry -- and for always being such a champion of mine," Musgraves wrote on Instagram following their guitar lessons.

It's been exactly three years since Perry and Musgraves joined forces on CMT Crossroads, on June 13, 2014, to sing "Follow Your Arrow" (among other songs). Musgraves originally pitched the song to Perry, in fact; however, Perry turned it down, telling Musgraves that she needed to record the song herself. "Follow Your Arrow" won Musgraves a CMA Awards Song of the Year trophy; the country singer-songwriter also joined Perry as an opening act on Perry's Prismatic World Tour in 2014.

Musgraves is touring this summer with country legend Willie Nelson and is slated as an opener for Harry Styles' tour in 2018. A complete schedule of shows is available on her website.
