After teasing details of her forthcoming world tour during her set at the 2018 Country to Country Festival, Kacey Musgraves has officially announced the trek's first several dates. In October, Musgraves will head overseas for 12 shows in England, Ireland, Scotland and elsewhere; stops include performances at Bristol's Hippodrome and London's Wembley Arena. More dates for the Oh, What a World Tour are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, but tickets for the already announced dates go on sale on March 16.

The newest season of American Idol, featuring Luke Bryan, made its debut on ABC on Sunday night (March 11), and according to the Los Angeles Times, the revamped TV singing competition attracted 10.3 million viewers for its inaugural episode. It's a showing that is considered "strong," even if viewership was down 5 percent from the most recent Idol season premiere, in 2016, when the show still aired on Fox.

Rosanne Cash, fresh off a brief Canadian tour, has announced plans to tour the globe in 2018. According to Rolling Stone, Cash will kick off a 23-date tour in New York City on March 27, making stops in North Carolina, Georgia, the United Kingdom and Connecticut before concluding at the Tartan Heart Festival in Iverness, Scotland, on Aug. 4. In the mix, she'll stop in San Francisco, Calif., for a four-night residency at the SFJazz Center, where she'll perform Johnny Cash classics alongside Ry Cooder.

Brad Paisley will host a night of stand-up comedy in Nashville during the 2018 Nashville Comedy Festival. It will be Paisley's fourth year of hosting a showcase during the festival, formerly known as the Wild West Comedy Festival. Paisley and his selected comics will take over Zanies Comedy Club on April 19; tickets for the showcase are on sale now.

In what may be one of the year's weirdest honors, the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame has announced that Kid Rock will join its celebrity wing. Rock joins Mike Tyson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Drew Carey, Pete Rose and more as a celebrity in the wrestling hall of fame, thanks to his the important role his music has played in professional wrestling; he is a frequent performer at WWE events, including the 2012 Tribute to the Troops. Rock will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at a ceremony on April 6, set to be held at New Orleans' Smoothie King Center during WrestleMania 34.

Texas country artist Cody Johnson recently made history as the first unsigned artist to sell out Houston's NRG Stadium. Johnson's sold-out performance during RodeoHouston 2018 on March 10 managed to top ticket sales for juggernaut artists such as Blake Shelton, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean“Houston, biggest show of my life all thanks to y’all," Johnson said. "Can't begin to express what it means to be the first unsigned artist in history to sell out RodeoHouston at NRG … thanks for a night I'll never forget."
