Josh Abbott Band frontman Josh Abbott became a first-time father with the birth of his daughter, Emery, in May, and it's safe to say he's smitten.

In an adorable video posted to Instagram on Wednesday (July 12), Abbott can be heard singing to his baby girl and telling her that she's changed his world. "You changed my whole life!" he says, with the camera focused on Emery, who smiles and coos back at him. "What do you think you're doing? Do you think you can just come into my life and change it?"

Apparently that's exactly what she is doing, and Abbott doesn't mind one bit. He admits that "singing to her is my favorite thing to do these days," breaking into an a capella version of Joe Cocker's "You Are So Beautiful to Me."

"Yep ... I baby talk ... I can't help it!" he admits to fans in the caption of the video.

Emery Farryn was born to Abbott and girlfriend Taylor Parnell on May 5, 2017. Her name means “brave adventure.”

"We wanted to do something similar with a girl name to how my brother named his daughter Eisley Dawn, which means ‘Cheerful Beginnings,'” Abbott says. “And the word ‘brave’ is a word I used to describe Taylor in a song I wrote for her, ‘I’m Your Only Flaw,’ on the new album coming out this year."
