Jana Kramer is still healing emotionally after suffering a miscarriage this past December, but she still feels that more children are in her future.

"I definitely want to expand the family," the actress/country singer tells People Magazine in an interview to promote her new podcast, "Whine Down with Jana Kramer."

"It’s just in God’s timing. [I] had kind of a rocky road with that," she acknowledges.

Opening up about that rocky road of motherhood is just one of the many topics Kramer says she is determined to tackle during the podcast. "I'm really going to be an open book with it, talking about personal life," Kramer says. "Talking about hot topics in the news and just being an open canvas for things."

Living her truth is something that she does with grace, both professionally and personally. Fans will recall that it has been a tumultuous few years personally for Kramer, who separated from her husband Michael Caussin just months after giving birth to their first daughter Jolie in 2016. The two mended their differences in 2017 and actually held a vow renewal ceremony together last December.

Professionally, Kramer often uses her songs to speak her truth. In her new single “Dammit,” she sings about lost love and how a broken heart never fully heals.

"'Dammit' is authentic to me,” she says of the song, which was co-written by friend and songwriter Nicolle Galyon and Elizabeth Huett. "It's about acknowledging and surrendering to the idea that love doesn't always work out. I feel like we've all been there and experienced relationships that didn't last."
