The U.S. Border Patrol said the man is part of the South American Theft Group which engages in transnational organized crime.
Wanted as a Fugitive
He was a fugitive from justice and wanted in New Jersey for burglary.
Flagged as Potential Security Threat
He was charged with being in the country illegally. The man was also apprehended in El Paso, Texas in June 2022 and was flagged as a potential security threat, according to WGME News.
Detained by ICE
He was taken to ICE and Removal Operations for detention. His name and age were not released.
