Hypnotist to Mesmerize Crowd at UMPI

Hypnotist Paul Ramsay will leave the crowd second-guessing when he performs his show “Mind Games”—billed as the first truly interactive stage hypnotism show in the world—at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

The show will take place in the Auditorium at Wieden Hall on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. The show is free and open to the public, and is rated PG-13/R.

Ramsay has entertained sell-out crowds as a stage hypnotist since 2004, and has performed his popular show “Mind Games” since 2010. In this one-of-a-kind performance, Ramsay uses interactive polling and remote controls so that audience members can steer the course of the show by voting on what they want to see happen on stage. Everyone can participate and volunteers are hypnotized while still sitting in the audience, providing an up-close-and-personal experience for everybody attending. Ramsay puts volunteers through hilarious scenarios created to be fun and engage the crowd.

His show “Mind Games” has entertained audiences at colleges and high schools ever since its debut. During this show, Ramsay is known for quickly engaging the crowd, making it interactive, and providing original entertainment that transforms average students into cast members “right before your very eyes.”
