Hunter Hayes Shares Life on the Road in ‘Amen’ Video
Hunter Hayes' "Amen" video it takes fans behind-the-scenes during a typical day on tour for the country singer. The three-minute clip has Hayes on stage during his headlining set, as well as posing for photos with fans during meet and greets before the show.
The sweet love ballad "Amen," which Hayes co-wrote, compares a girl to church. It's one of three new songs he's shared with fans that will be featured on a forthcoming album.
"Your kiss is like the healing hand / Holy water on my skin / The way you say baby makes me feel like I've been touched by heaven," he sings.
On the chorus, Hayes gets even more introspective:
"Well I've been searching, I've been praying / I've been hurting, I've been patient / I've been lost and found again waiting for my amen / Looking at you now I believe someone up there's looking out for me / I know how my prayer ends / Baby, you're my amen," he belts.
The song alludes to a happy relationship, and it seems like Hayes has been in one for a while now. The singer has been dating Nashville hair and makeup artist Libby Barnes for three years, but they're in no rush to get married.
“I think everybody has their own schedule. Rush is never a good word for anything, but I know my heart’s happy, and I hope she’s as happy as I am,” Hayes admits. “We just promised to each other that we’re gonna make time and commit to being with each other.”
