Big Cheese owners Martha and Rob Frank approached the organizers of the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest to see if they would encourage the First Responders to develop their own pizza toppings and then have a public taste testing to determine which group had done the best job. There will be a lot of friendly competition during this public tasting, but the Franks thought that it would also give the chance to show these very crucial public servants appreciation in a non-emergency setting.

There will not be a fee to participate in the taste testing, all ingredients and the making of the pizza will be donated by Big Cheese, however there will be opportunities to make donations to the agency of your choice. So in addition to voting for your favorite pizza you can provide some support for programs not funded by their operating budget.

The tasting will be held in the Forestry Building area at Northern Maine Fairgrounds Saturday, August 27 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.

The Crown of Maine Balloon Fest is thrilled to have this new event added to the list of activities to entertain and involve local area residents and visitors during the hours of the day when hot air balloons cannot fly.

Although entry to the fairgrounds is free and some of the activities hosted by the
are free, the opportunities for fundraising are unlimited.

See you at Crown of Maine Balloon Fest, August 25-28, 2016.
