As 2017 CMA Fest draws near, so do the surprises throughout Nashville. Whether it's a pop-up concert, unexpected artist appearance or even random country karaoke, one never knows what will go down in Music City.

Ahead of her broadcast on Today on Wednesday morning (June 7) live from Nashville, Hoda Kotb proved her skills as a singer at WannaB's Karaoke Bar on Lower Broadway. The morning show host shared the stage with none other than Blake Shelton at an industry-only karaoke night hosted by Smithworks Vodka.

Kotb was the first to take the small stage at WannaB's Karaoke Bar and chose to sing Shelton's 2013 No. 1 hit, "Boys 'Round Here." Her performance begins at the 3:30 mark in the video above.

Blake Shelton's Most Unforgettable Moments

"I picked a Blake Shelton song for my karaoke number," she told the crowd. "I love this song! Ready? Y'all know it? Please sing with me!"

Moments later, Kotb realizes that she missed the song's start and asks Shelton to help her out with a cue to when the song begins.

His reply? "Are you kidding me?"

He finally gives Kotb a cue and she wows the crowd with her spirited rendition of Shelton's song, with the star sitting in the front row, taking it in. Shelton enjoyed it so much, in fact, that he decides to join her on stage to sing a chorus. It's a moment Kotb will surely never forget.

"Wait! A dream of mine just happened. You all witnessed a dream of mine just happen. Ladies and gentleman, Blake Shelton," she says at the song's close before taking a bow.

CMA Fest begins on Thursday, June 8 and runs through Sunday, June 11.
