Hit-And-Run Boating Collision Reported on Wasleigh Pond

LYMAN, Maine (AP) — Authorities are searching for a boat involved in a reported hit-and-run collision with another boat on a pond in southern Maine.

The Maine Warden Service says it received a call shortly before midnight Saturday about the crash on Wasleigh Pond in Lyman, which resulted in multiple people in the water.

WMTW-TV reports passengers of one boat made it back to shore and were treated for minor injuries. The boat later sank.

Officials say the other boat took off before first responders arrived.
