Motorists in New England are seeing the price at the pump headed back up after several weeks of declining prices.

The survey of gas outlets by GasBuddy.com shows that gas prices here in Maine rose 4.8 cents in the last week to an average price of $2.58 a gallon. In Presque Isle, pump prices as of Monday morning were at $2.78

New Hampshire's gasoline prices jumped up 4.5 cents to an average $2.50 a gallon. Next door in Vermont, gasoline increased 4.4 cents to an average $2.62 a gallon.

According to GasBuddy, the national average rose in the last week 4.7 cents a gallon to $2.60, which is 9.2 cents a gallon higher than last month and up 32.3 cents a gallon from a year ago at this time.
