Kacey Musgraves' refrain during her set at Lollapalooza on Sunday (Aug. 4) has left hosts at Fox & Friends outraged.

“What happened to wholesome country singers?” Ainsley Earhart says in reference to the "Follow Your Arrow" singer's F-bomb laden chant — a response to the two mass shootings (in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio) over the weekend.

There has been more than one shooting per day in 2019, data at Gun Violence Archive reveals. Musgraves has clearly had enough, so she asked her Lollapalooza crowd to scream “Somebody f—king do something” a few times.

Culture Jihad author Todd Starnes isn't quite as shocked as Earhardt at the language, remarking that he suspects Musgraves was "put on a good many church prayer lists after that diatribe at Lollapalooza!"

Starnes has written in the past about the liberalization of country music, something he compared to kudzu. "Once that starts to grow on something, you can't get rid of it, and it kills everything it touches," he says (quote via the Boot).

Earhardt is mostly upset by Musgraves' choice of adverbs, asking, "But what about the kids? I mean, she's asking them to chant the F-word. I thought about that. I don't want my daughter — I mean, these young girls, they look up to these musicians."

After inspiring her audience to be vocal, Musgraves expanded on her views via Twitter. This fall she will headline the remaining Oh, What a World Part II tour dates, ending with a sold-out show at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.
