Fort Kent's 150th Anniversary has daily events, with all kinds of activities lined up for Saturday, August 10th - featuring the Muskie Derby & Ploye Festival.

Saturday’s Schedule:
2 Fly-Ins Daily: Maine Powerchute Association Annual Fly-In. Look up in the sky and check out some of Maine’s Powerchute Pilots flying overhead.
9am-7pm: Fort Kent International Muskie Derby – Weigh Station at Up North Outdoors Parking Lot (35 West Main Street) Fish & Awards on Display
9am-4pm: Blockhouse Open to the Public
9am: Come Home To Celebrate Our Heritage Anniversary Parade Line-up starts at the Courthouse on Market Street.
10AM Parade – Down Market Street to Main Street. From East Main to West Main and turn off on Pleasant Street.
10am-1pm: Fort Kent Public Library Used Book Sale – Library Basement - Fill a bag for $1
10:30am-7pm: Rotary Club Muskie Derby Food Court – SW Collins Parking Lot (35 West Main) - Lobster Rolls & Strawberry Shortcake
11am-?: Ploye Festival Food Court – Martin Klein Post 133 American Legion Hall (411 West Main) - Choose from a full meal deal or order a la carte. Serving beans, hot dogs, hamburgers, dough boys, ployes, popcorn and more.
11am-3pm: Good Shepherd Ministries Sale-bration (214 West Main St). Open for special Saturday hours and sale. For every bag purchased with a $5 donation - Fill a second bag for $1.50
12pm: Northern Maine Antique Tractor Pull - Parking by Rough Roads Alignment & Repair (73 Market Street) - Iron-man contest for tractors. Concessions available. Sponsored by John Bouchard, MD & Charette Logging.
12pm-3:30pm: Pet the Alpacas at Bouchard’s Country Store (772 Caribou Road) - Stop by and visit with the alpacas, and while you’re there, pick up a bag of their renowned ploye mix.
12pm-4pm: Fort Kent Historical Society Train Station & Thibodeau Visitor Center Open
1pm-4pm: Aroostook County Firefighters’ Skills Competition (West Main Street)
