Sheriff’s Deputies stopped to check a disabled vehicle in Mars Hill, which turned up a Fort Fairfield man with an outstanding warrant who happened to also be in possession of bath salts.

According to the Aroostook County Sheriff's Office, shortly after 7:30am Friday, a Sheriff’s Deputy stopped to check on what appeared to be a disabled vehicle on Fort Street in Mars Hill.

42-year-old Scott Larsen of Fort Fairfield was putting gas into the vehicle from a can. The Deputy checked and determined there was an outstanding arrest warrant for Larsen for failure to pay fines on a drug conviction and violation of conditions of release.

The Deputy arrested Larsen and discovered APVP (bath salts) on him as well as other drug paraphernalia.

On top of the warrant, Larson was charged with possession of synthetic hallucinogenic drugs and was taken to the Aroostook County Jail, where he remains.
