Fort Fairfield Man ‘Banks’ $500 After Making Half Court Basketball Shot

A successful half-court shot was made during the girls varsity high school basketball game held in Fort Fairfield vs. Washburn on Wednesday, January 28^th.

Larry King of Fort Fairfield made the half court shot and is the lucky winner of $500 from Katahdin Trust Company. He is the fourth basketball half-court shot winner this year!

All schools in Katahdin Trust Company's northern Maine and Bangor/Hampden market areas are awarded the opportunity to participate in this contest.

Here’s just a reminder of how it works: the school sells 50/50 raffle tickets at the game, the first name drawn from the raffle ticket sales wins the 50/50 raffle and gets to shoot from half-court for a chance at $500 (or school may draw a second ticket for shooter).

Katahdin Trust Company awards $500 for a successful half-court shot. Tickets are non-transferable. Limit five winners per season. Katahdin Trust Company employees and immediate family members are not eligible.
