Ford Motor Company is notifying the public concerning a recall of the Takata Airbag Inflators on various models of their vehicles.

Ford Motor Co is recalling more than 953,000 vehicles in order for them to replace the Takata airbag inflators that are capable of exploding and hurling shrapnel.

Some of the vehicles being recalled are the 2010 to 2014 Ford Mustang, 2010 and 2011 Ford Ranger, 2010 to 2012 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ and the 2011 Mercury Milan, to name a few.

It has been reported that 23 people have died by the faulty airbag inflators.

Takata airbag inflators are being phased in through 2020 and Ford says they are not aware of any deaths due to this current recall.
