First Weekend of Spring Brings a Blast of Wintry Weather

After a mild start to the weekend, Aroostook County and western New Brunswick will deal with snow, strong winds and plummeting temperatures.

Saturday:  Cloudy with light snow likely in the afternoon. Snow may mix with light rain at times. Highs around 34°F/1C

Saturday night:  Periods of snow.  Overnight accumulation around 2 inches. Brisk winds. Lows near 10°F/-12C.

Sunday:  Snow showers in the morning, otherwise mostly cloudy and windy with areas of blowing snow. Early highs around 14°F/-10C..

Sunday night:  Mostly cloudy, brisk and cold. Lows near 0°F/-18C Winds 15-25 mph. Gusts between 25-40 mph.

Snowfall totals this winter averaged from 10-12 feet across Aroostook County (officially 129.4" at the National Weather Service Office in Caribou).  Now let's add some "spring snow" to those totals.
