Family Dollar Plans To Add Alcohol To 1000 Store Locations

Family Dollar stores are owned by Dollar Tree, since the Family Dollar brand was purchased in  2015 sales growth has been slow. So what to do when the going gets tough? Sell alcohol, of course!

Family Dollar announced it will be adding alcoholic beverages to 1000 Family Dollar stores in the coming months, they also plan to expand the freezers and coolers in-store. No word on the exact location of the "test" stores, but it's safe to say if sales show a nice jump, expect to see the number of stores selling adult drinks to go up!

Family Dollars parent company Dollar Tree is planning it's own test, they plan to re-brand several stores to Dollar Tree Plus, which will sell item more than just one dollar.
