Eric Church Sings With Bruce Springsteen at Stand Up for Heroes Event [WATCH]
Eric Church teamed up with the man who inspired his hit song "Springsteen" -- yes, Bruce Springsteen -- for a charity performance on Monday night (Nov. 5). Readers can press play above to watch the Chief and the Boss join forces on Springsteen's song "Working on the Highway" during the 2018 Stand Up for Heroes benefit concert.
"Working on the Highway" comes from Springsteen's famous 1984 album Born in the USA. He and Church opted to sing an acoustic version of the song, alternating on vocals on the verses. The real magic happened when Church's and Springsteen's voices blended together for an incredible chorus.
In addition to their duet, Church and Springsteen also played their own individual sets during the 2018 Stand Up for Heroes benefit concert. According to Rolling Stone, Church opted to play an entirely acoustic set that included "Desperate Man" and "Hippie Radio," both songs off of his new album Desperate Man, as well as an unreleased song called "Standing Their Ground."
The Stand Up for Heroes show benefits the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which, according to its website, "partners with community and national programs, organizations and the military community, and advocates like you, to create healthy, positive futures for our service members, veterans and their families." The benefit was held at the Hulu Theater inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.
