Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton + Bruno Mars’ ‘Blow’ Channels ’70s Rock [LISTEN]

Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton and Bruno Mars' styles are disparate -- pop singer-songwriter, traditional-leaning country, and modern-day funk, respectively -- but together, they've released a '70s rock-inspired song called "Blow." Readers can press play above to hear it.

The final song on Sheeran's upcoming new album, "Blow" ends the project on a high-energy note. Stapleton sings lead on the second verse of the song, which Mars produced.

"Supernatural woman, supernatural freak / Don't know what you're doing / Got me feeling weak," the country star sings. "Oh, I wanna call you fever, baby / You can set a fire on me / Hot damn / Pop it like a pistol, mama / You got me down on my knees, begging please ..."

Sonically, there's a Led Zeppelin (or, if you're a more recent rock fan, Greta Van Fleet) quality to "Blow." There's a "Whole Lotta Love" quality to the trio's collaboration, and that opening scream is straight out of Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song."

"Bruno, Chris and I had a lot of fun recording," Sheeran says in a press release. "Play [it] loud, tell your mates, enjoy.”

"Blow" comes from Sheeran's forthcoming new album, No. 6 Collaborations Project, which is due out on July 12. Each of the album's 15 songs features another artist or two, from rappers Eminem and Cardi B to R&B star H.E.R. and EDM act Skrillex.

"Blow" won't be Sheeran's only country star team-up: He recently spent some time in Nashville and wrote with, at the least, Kelsea Ballerini, Kenny Chesney and Darius Rucker.

Stapleton is spending his summer on the road once again, for the newest iteration of his All-American Road Show. The trek, which begins in July, will feature Margo Price, Brent Cobb, Brothers Osborne, the Marcus King Band and Kendell Marvel as special guests.
