Eagle Lake Man Crashes Pickup into Tree, Wallagrass, Maine
An 81-year-old Eagle Lake man was taken to the hospital Friday after his pickup truck went off the road in Wallagrass.
State Police said alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash, and the investigation is active and ongoing.
Wallace Saucier failed to negotiate a curve on Strip Road around noon Friday. His 2014 Chevy left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle came to rest in a wooden embankment, according to police.
Saucier had minor injuries and was treated at Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent.
Trooper Matt Curtin investigated the accident. The Fort Kent Fire Department and Ambulance Service INC. assisted.
The pickup was towed away as a total loss.
