Dierks Bentley walked the red carpet this weekend, but it wasn't for a country music awards show. The singer joined the cast of the upcoming film Only the Brave, which he composed a song for.

The country singer was joined on the red carpet by his mother, and found himself alongside many of the film's actors, including Jeff Bridges, Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Taylor Kitsch, and Jennifer Connelly.

"Me, mom and first responders and firefighters on red carpet," he captioned three photos on Instagram, showcasing his mother by his side.

Deadline reports that 100 first responders also stepped onto the carpet. The responders were made up of members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Los Angeles City Fire Department, Long Beach Fire Department, Orange County Fire Department, San Bernardino County Fire Department, San Bernardino City Fire Department, Downey Fire Department, Compton Fire Department, Manhattan Beach Fire Department, Cal Fire, El Segundo Fire Department, Apple Valley Fire Department, San Diego City Fire Department, Los Angeles County Fire/Lifeguards, and Long Beach Fire/Lifeguards; all of whom helped those affected by hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, and the earthquake in Mexico City.

Bentley penned “Hold The Light” for the upcoming film. This is the first song he has ever co-written and recorded for a motion picture, and he also recently released the music video which is a sobering look at the dangers that firefighters face while combating deadly wildfires.

“This song hits really close to me because we wrote it based on the story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots,” Bentley says in a statement. “One of the most powerful takeaways for me from working on this project has been the need to search for hope and light even in the darkest of times. I think right now that message is more meaningful than ever.”
