You have to see the Shoe Tree in Hodgdon, Maine. It’s one of the most unique roadside attractions you’ll see.
All Kind of Shoes
The Shoe Tree is located on Calais Road about seven miles south of Houlton. The colorful display has more than 150 pairs of shoes in the branches including sneakers, boots, stilettos, baby shoes, cleats and more.
Family Project
It was started by Virgil Farrar as a family project in 2015. Shoes were tossed in the tree as fun and quickly became of interest to visitors who also donated shoes.
