The young deer shattered the plate glass window, setting off the security alarm. Presque Isle police and an officer from the Maine Warden Service arrived shortly after 6:30 a.m. to find the injured animal still inside the building.

According to Detective Bill Skull of the Presque Isle Police Department, the animal had to be euthanized due to its extensive injuries.

Executive Director Wendy Gilman-Zubrick was at the Wintergreen Arts Center throughout the morning with a crew working to clean up the damage. She expressed how very sad she felt for the deer.

A camera crew from North Woods Law happened to be in Presque Isle at the time. They did some filming and interviews for a possible segment on an upcoming episode.

**Repair work has continued and the studio expects to re-open Wednesday morning for normal activities.
