County Organizations Announce Return of Youth Triathlon

Three organizations working to improve the health and well being of County residents of all ages will announce plans to bring back a popular youth triathlon event in northern Maine in September.

The success of triathlon events held in central Aroostook County for youth and adults over the past few years, and the growing number of fun runs and 5K races throughout the region have encouraged UMPI, TAMC, and the Aroostook County Action Program’s Healthy Aroostook Partnership, to come together to bring back one of the area’s most popular youth events.

Representatives of the three organizations will announce details, including how to register on Tuesday, April 26, at 10:00 a.m. in the lobby of Gentile Hall on the University of Maine at Presque Isle campus.The announcement will also feature youth participants including the recently named junior Race Director, who has won this race in the past.
