There are many -- too many -- country stars who have had cancer or have been personally affected by it in some way. The truth is, almost everyone knows someone who's battling against the horrific disease, and it does not discriminate based on age, fame, fortune or even good health.

In the photo gallery below, The Boot highlights those country artists who have had cancer, beat cancer, had someone close to them affected by cancer or champion cancer-related causes. In 2020, it was estimated that 1,806,590 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed, and that more than 606,520 people will die from the disease, so it's heartening to see that so many country stars are among those fighting against it.
