Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert will perform at CMT's all-female 2018 Artists of the Year event. Set for Oct. 17 in Nashville, the ceremony will also feature performances from Underwood and Lambert's fellow Artists of the Year honorees Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Hillary Scott, Kimberly Schlapman and Karen Fairchild, as well as Maddie & TaeRunaway JuneAlison Krauss, the Pistol Annies, Brandi Carlile and more. The 2018 CMT Artists of the Year ceremony will air live on CMT at 8PM ET.

Thanks to their now-44-week run at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart with "Meant to Be," a collaboration with Bebe Rexha, Florida Georgia Line are now the only artists to spend 100 cumulative weeks at the top of that chart since its launch in 1958. “We set out to write good songs, so to see them travel far beyond our reach is still hard to wrap our heads around,” FGL’s Brian Kelley tells Billboard. “We are so thankful to country radio, our fans and our team for believing in even our wildest dreams.”

Aaron Watson is set to release an album of Christmas music on Oct. 5. Dubbed An Aaron Watson Family Christmas, the 10-track effort will feature holiday classics and two original songs. According to a press release, the entire Watson family, including the singer's wife and three children, contributed vocals to the album. The project will be available via Watson's official website in various special bundles.

Carrie Underwood has been named a spokesperson for the Choose Kindness anti-bullying campaign. According to PopCulture.com, Underwood will join Ryan Seacrest in releasing a series of encouraging public service announcements as a part of National Bullying Prevention Month. "We are so much stronger when we come together. It's your choice, so choose to be inspired," Underwood says in a video for the campaign. "Choose to be accepting. Be strong. Be brave. Be awesome. Be daring. Be kind. Choose kindness."

Singer-songwriter Anita Cochran has launched a brand-new charity to raise funds for nonprofit organizations, especially those fighting breast cancer. According to a press release, Cochran decided to found the Love Anchors Fund after being diagnosed with triple-positive breast cancer in August of 2017. She will donate the proceeds from her 2018 single "Fight Like a Girl" to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation during the week of Oct. 5-12, following a performance on Good Morning America on Oct. 5.
