Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show: 5 Reasons the Superstar’s 2018 Tour Shouldn’t Be Missed
For two hours on Thursday night (June 28), Chris Stapleton held court in Darien, N.Y. The stage was sparse -- though the country star's spaceship-like rig is darn cool, it's simple compared to other setups -- but, as fans know by now, what Stapleton lacks in flash, he makes up for in blistering guitar solos, a talented-as-heck band and a voice that would sound amazing singing just about anything.
Stapleton and his three backing musicians -- wife Morgane is notably absent on the 2018 All-American Road Show, having given birth to twins this spring -- ran through a 20-song set featuring tracks from all three of Stapleton's albums, a cover or two and even a couple of special guests. The audience was rowdy, but respectful; they seemed to know that they were in the presence of a legend in the making, and they were eager to soak up the experience.
That music-focused atmosphere is only one reason Stapleton's 2018 tour is one not to be missed, however. Read on for five more.
