Toni Juliano from Canaan was sentenced in U.S. District Court by Judge John A. Woodcock, Jr. to 70 months in prison and five years of supervised release for possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl, heroin, cocaine and crack.

Court records show that 173 grams of heroin, 60 grams of crack and 113 grams of cocaine were seized from the Juliano’s hotel room, September 6th of last year. The next day, 100 grams of heroin, 91 grams of fentanyl, 88 grams of cocaine, and $38,222 from a second hotel room used by the 30-year-old Juliano.

She was already on bail at the time of the seizures, awaiting sentencing on a state charge of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs.

The Waterville Police Department investigated the case with assistance from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Maine Attorney General’s Office. The case was prosecuted as part of the Department of Justice’s Strategy to Combat the Opioid Epidemic. She entered a guilty plea on December 11. 2017.
