While out on her Cry Pretty Tour 360 in the United Kingdom, Carrie Underwood will make a stop at the 2019 Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts. According to a press release about the newly added gig, Underwood will perform at the festival on June 29, before heading to Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester and London.

Morgan Wallen, Jimmie Allen and Mitchell Tenpenny will perform on the Ram Trucks Side Stage during the 2019 CMT Music Awards. Jordan Davis, Runaway June and Tenille Townes, all of whom are also nominated in the Breakthrough Video of the Year category, will also perform on the stage during the annual awards show as well. The 2019 CMT Music Awards will air live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville at 8PM ET on June 5.

Kelsey Waldon is the newest artist on the roster at John Prine's label Oh Boy Records. Shortly after Waldon performed at the Grand Ole Opry on May 29, Prine called her back up onstage and introduced her as the label's first new artist signing in the past 15 years. “I am bursting with pride to have Kelsey Waldon recording for Oh Boy Records," Prine says in a statement. "Her music continues an important arc of traditional folk and country music. I love Kelsey’s singing. Her voice is one of the more authentic country voices I’ve heard in a long time."

The Avett Brothers are headed back to the Dominican Republic in 2020! The band will return to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana on Feb. 27-March 2 for Avett Brothers at the Beach, an "all-inclusive concert vacation" that will feature three shows from the band. Emmylou Harris, Shakey Graves, Dawes, Mandolin Orange, Trampled By Turtles and more artists are set to perform as well. Tickets for the event go on sale on June 6 via the festival's website.

Jamey Johnson, Brent Cobb, Michael Ray and more will perform at the sixth annual Georgia on My Mind Concert in Nashville. Set for July 17 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, the event benefits the Georgia Music Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports music education and preservation, according to MusicRow. Lindsay Ell, the Indigo Girls' Amy Ray and Craig Campbell, among other artists, are also in the lineup. Tickets for Georgia on My Mind 2019 are currently on sale via Ticketmaster.

Legendary Nashville songwriter Ralph Murphy has died. According to Billboard, the Canadian-born producer, writer and ASCAP executive who penned hits for Shania Twain, Randy Travis, Ray Price and Crystal Gayle (among other artists) died at the age of 75 in Music City after battling pneumonia. No details on funeral arrangements for Murphy have been made public as of yet.
