A collection of nine slightly twisted plays by former Presque Isle resident, John Cariani, will be presented in April.

The Presque Isle Community Players and the University of Maine at Preque Isle will present "Love/Sick,"April 5, 6, 12 & 13 in the Auditorium at Wieden Hall.

Playwright Cariani's "Love/Sick" is being directed by one of the Presque Isle Community Players' founding members, Barbara Frick Ladner, who taught the Tony-nominated Cariani at Presque Isle High School. She also previously directed Cariani's "Almost Maine" and "Last Gas" for the Players.

"Love/Sick" will feature several veterans of the Players including Dan Ladner, Tamia Glidden, Debbie Lamont, Jeff Ashby, Sherry Sullivan, Judy Crawford, John Kiehn and Yvette Stephens along with newcomers Amy Daniels, Jonna Boure and Matt St. Jean.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased on the Players website www.picplayers.com, as well as the Aroostook Centre Mall information window, Goin' Postal at 26 North Street in Presque Isle, the UMPI Campus Store and at the door each night of the performance. A portion of the proceeds will benefit renovations to the Auditorium at Wieden Hall.
