Brad Paisley is putting together a celebrity dodgeball game to benefit his new nonprofit venture.

The "My Miracle" singer will host a live dodgeball event on Feb. 20, 2020 to raise money for his charitable the Store, a new grocery store that he and wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley are opening in partnership with Belmont University to provide food security to families in need.

Titled Brad Paisley's Celebrity Dodgeball Tournament, the event will feature eight teams made up of celebrity guests playing rounds of dodgeball against one another in a live tournament at the Curb Event Center on the campus of Belmont. Paisley, along with some of his friends, will also perform live sets at the event. Celebrity guests will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Paisleys announced plans for the Store in October 2018. They were inspired to create the concept after volunteering with their children at the Unity Shoppe in Santa Barbara, Calif., wanting to open a free grocery store for families in need in Nashville that provides basic necessities and healthy food. The venue will also host nutritional education and cooking classes.

"This is a grocery store with dignity for people who have fallen on hard times,” the country star shares. “All of us are one unforeseen disaster away from rock bottom. It’s nice to think about a place where when that happens to someone, they can use it to get back on their feet."

The Store was rewarded a $1.5 million grant from the Tennessee Department of Human Services in August 2019. Proceeds from the tournament will go toward the Store's annual operating budget. Tickets go on sale Friday (Dec. 6) at 10AM, with general admission tickets priced at $50.
