The body was recovered from the river on Sunday near the Tinker Dam, less than a mile from the U.S. border.

The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Christine Hart-Carmichael of Caribou, according a press release Friday from Sgt. Don Daigle of the West District RCMP.

Police said the body was discovered around 10:30 Sunday morning. There were no personal belongings or I.D. with the body.  RCMP forensic identification experts assisted with the investigation. An autopsy was performed Monday.
