Maine’s Throwback VHS Craft-Fair Dance That’s Taking Over the Internet
If your “for you page” and algorithm online has utterly blessed you recently, then you are one of many that has seen the glorious gem currently going viral.
It’s an old school promotional commercial posted by @foundfootagefestival and shared via @rudysbooties all to invite you to a local Christmas craft fair in Augusta.
The Instagram reel features a wonderfully, charismatic woman in a shiny red and gold sequined leotard dancing her little heart out while announcing: “Dance your way on down to the 2nd Annual Augusta Christmas Craft Fair!” She also has another one circulating where she throws stuffed rabbits in the air. I kid you not.
And to be very bluntly honest, we can’t get enough of it.
Shake, Shimmy, Repeat: The Retro Reel Everyone’s Sharing
As the 38th Annual Last Minute Craft Fair in Augusta approaches towards the end of December, the release of this found footage couldn't have happened at a better time and the internet is celebrating in the best way possible.
Watching this enthusiastic dancer shimmy, shake, is pure perfection, check it out via Found Footage Fest on YouTube.
I don’t know about you, but for me, this feels like a warm VHS hug. The graphics, borders, text, and the unforgettable performance by the star is epic.
Now, the past couple of years vintage VHS style promos and commercials have been coming back lie those awkward dating service tapes, they are all simply exploding on the scene for your viewing pleasure.
There is something nostalgic about this come back and as we roll into another age of technology, we’ll can’t ever forget the earnestness of what once was.
By replaying this, they swung for the fences and arrived in viral town.
