Municipal, business and other leaders will get their chance to schmooze with many of Maine’s lawmakers at Aroostook Day at the Legislature.

The Aroostook Partnership has set the date of Tuesday, February 5th, for the gathering, which is held every other year. This year, Aroostook Day at the Legislature will be held at at the Senator Inn in Augusta from 5 :00 to 7:30 p.m.

The Aroostook Partnership has selected key topic areas, initiatives and best practices in Aroostook County in recent years to highlight to Legislators and others attending the event.

AP President and CEO Paul Towle says “Our intent is to explore key efforts happening in The County around the areas of promoting greater workforce participation, advancing the natural resource-based economy, and collaboration and smart growth for the region.”

Originated more than 25 years ago by LEADers Encouraging Aroostook Development (LEAD), Aroostook Day has traditionally been well attended by Aroostook County folks
