Aroostook County Man Dies in Maine Prison
WARREN, Maine (AP) — An Aroostook County man serving a three-year sentence has died in a Maine prison.
The Maine Department of Corrections says 64-year-old David Sirois died on Tuesday afternoon at Maine State Prison in Warren. The department says Sirois' death was attended by prison staff.
The department did not release any details about the nature of Sirois' death. It said the Maine State Police and the state medical examiner's office were notified, which is standard procedure when an inmate dies in prison.
Sirois, who was from Aroostook County, was sentenced for unlawful sexual contact in August 2018. He was scheduled for release in June 2021.
