Adult Ed Quilters Donate Quilts to Cary Cancer Center

A group of RSU39 Adult Ed Quilting Class students made lap robe size quilts from donated fabrics for the new Jefferson Cary Cancer Center at Cary Medical Center.

The quilts will be gifts for individual patients receiving care at the Center.

A total of 36 quilts were presented to Dr. Regen Gallagher, Chief Medical Officer at Cary and Administrator for the Cancer Center and Jen Plant, RN, Nurse Manager of the Center.

Students who wanted to continue quilting after the fall Adult Ed class ended and the spring class began made the quilts.
