One man is in custody after another meth lab was discovered inside a pickup truck in Ellsworth Tuesday night - and another lab was busted inside a mobile home in Milford.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said 27-year-old Micah McGillicuddy of Houlton has been charged with aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine.  McGillicuddy is being held at the Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth.

His pickup truck was towed overnight to the State Police barracks in Bangor and the MDEA meth lab team began securing the vehicle this afternoon in an adjacent parking lot, police said.

Ellsworth Police discovered the meth lab in the truck Tuesday night when they were called to a suspicious vehicle parked along a private road off Route 180.  McGillicuddy fled into nearby woods after police found him in the truck, said police.

He was taken into custody today and then taken to the Ellsworth hospital to be checked out after a night outside. Searching for McGillicuddy overnight were Ellsworth and State Police, along with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

In an unrelated incident – the Penobscot Sheriff’s Office discovered what is believed to be another meth lab Wednesday afternoon. This one inside a mobile home in Milford off the Call Road, police said. The trailer has been secured and the MDEA  meth lab team is scheduled to arrive there once they have completed their work with the pickup truck in Bangor.

No one has been charged in the Milford case and drug agents say the woman occupant of the trailer is cooperating.

This is the 43rd time MDEA has responded to a meth related incident in Maine this year – an all time record.
