86-year-old Central Maine Man Found Dead in Crashed Vehicle

Officials are investigating the cause of death after an 86-year-old Eddington man was found dead Wednesday afternoon in his crashed vehicle.

The driver of the 2007 GMC Canyon pick-up truck has been identified as Donald Voteur. Police said he was the lone operator of the pick-up truck was found deceased in the vehicle. Voteur was traveling northbound when he went off the side of the road.

The accident occurred around 1 PM on Riverside Drive (Route 178) in Eddington, said the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.

The State Medical Examiner’s Office is determining the cause of death. The Eddington Fire Department and Capital Ambulance also responded to the crash site.
